I’m learning new things in this new year.
When you first move in with a new roommate, you want to be on your best behavior. Especially if it’s someone you don’t know super well yet. I find myself being hyper aware of everything I do, which is actually turning out to be kind of a great thing. For example, when I’m cooking, I’ve been doing this thing where I wash, dry and put away dishes and utensils RIGHT AFTER I’VE FINISHED USING THEM. I don’t wait until after I’ve finished eating or even until after I’ve finished cooking. I just really don’t want to be that jerk who leaves dishes in the sink already, you know? But the thing is, this new method of dish washing is so handy! I think it might have changed my life. I’m hoping this behavior continues and becomes a habit, because as it turns out, being tidy is maybe kind of awesome?
Don’t worry, though. I haven’t changed *too* much. My bedroom is still a mess. (What? I keep the door closed!)

Oh my God I am obsessive about cleaning everything WHILE and IMMEDIATELY AFTER cooking and never after eating (stuck on food yeuch) and please be my roommate forever.
