A west coast winter.

In my little part of Canada, we do not typically experience what you would imagine a Canadian winter to be. It’s usually pretty mild and rainy. We do get snow a few times a year, but usually just a light dusting. So when we do find ourselves suddenly dealing with actual winter, it is quite upsetting. All week, the temperature has been BELOW FREEZING. What the eff is that about? Needless to say, I have increased the layers each day to try and keep myself warm. Today I think I finally nailed it.

As I sit here in my office, I am wearing:

Two pairs of thick socks
Sheepskin-lined boots
Jeans
A tank top
A long sleeved t-shirt
A mid-weight cardigan sweater
A knitted cowl scarf
A large cotton jersey scarf worn like a shawl

When I go outside again, I will add a toque, mittens and a winter coat. And I will still be freezing my butt off. Also, I don’t give a crap about hockey. I’m a legit Canadian, I swear!
